In Korea, cactus fruits are used as precious medicinal materials, while cactus leaves are discarded after pruning.
Cactus leather is made from cactus leaves grown in Jeju Island using organic pesticide-free methods. It uses naturally occurring agricultural byproducts as raw materials and is more environmentally friendly. And the pruned cactus leaves regenerate every 6 months.
Cactus leather is more durable than animal leather. Many people find leather bags a burden on rainy days, but cactus leather is moisture- and water-resistant and can be used with confidence in any weather.
Compared with animal skins, it has a lifespan about 1.5 times longer and will biodegrade within 5 years when landfilled after being discarded, without causing any harm to the environment.
