About Sustainable Cosmetics
The Sustainable Cosmetics Award is Japan's first and only award promoting sustainable development goals in the cosmetics and luxury toiletries sector. The award aims to recognize "cosmetics that are friendly to people and the earth," and the evaluation criteria are established from this perspective.
The initiators are ambassadors of the Ministry of Environment's "Connect and Support Forests, Rivers and Oceans Project", which is judged by experts in various fields such as the environment, media and cosmetics, and students involved in environmental activities are invited to serve as secretariat staff.
